Ghost of Yōtei: Complete Edition Arrives on PS5 October 1

Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition will arrive on PlayStation 5 on October 1, 2026, bringing a new narrative expansion and a separate single-player survival mode to Sucker Punch’s action game.

PlayStation says the package includes the base game, the existing online co-op mode Ghost of Yōtei Legends, and two new additions: Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted. The Complete Edition is priced at $69.99 USD; players who already own the game can buy a $14.99 USD upgrade.

Echoes of Sekigahara expands Atsu’s story

Echoes of Sekigahara is a narrative expansion that moves between the present day and flashbacks to Atsu’s time on the mainland. PlayStation says it introduces Nagato, a figure from Atsu’s past, and a previously unseen valley in Ezo connected to The Snake and the Vipers. The expansion also adds enemies, heavy weapons, armor sets and dyes.

Most Wanted is a new survival mode

Most Wanted is a single-player combat survival mode with roguelike structure. Players take bounties to begin runs, earn perks by defeating enemies and unlock additional playable characters. PlayStation has shown Atsu, Oyuki and Nagato using different weapon styles.

Both new modes are scheduled to arrive through patch 2.0 on October 1 globally, with some territories receiving the update on October 2. The same patch will add the Beauty of Yōtei environment-viewing mode and quality-of-life options, including armor appearance overrides and a high-contrast accessibility option.

What existing players get

The October 1 patch is not limited to Complete Edition buyers. PlayStation says all owners will receive the new Beauty of Yōtei mode and the listed quality-of-life additions. The new story expansion and survival mode are included with the Complete Edition or its paid upgrade.
