Palworld Online Is Coming to Mobile as a New MMO
Garena has announced Palworld Online, an officially licensed mobile MMO in development with Pocketpair and slated for release in 2026.
Garena is taking the Palworld universe to phones with a new project called Palworld Online, an officially licensed multiplayer survival adventure now in development for mobile.
In an August 3 announcement, Garena said it is developing and publishing the game under license from Palworld creator Pocketpair. The company describes Palworld Online as a new mobile experience that brings the survival, creature-collecting and crafting foundations of the original into a shared MMO setting.
A new mobile game, not a release date
Garena has confirmed a 2026 release window, but it has not yet announced a precise launch date or opened pre-registration. The company says more timing details will come later, so players should treat the announcement as an early look at the project rather than a promise that it is imminent.
The publisher’s plan is broader than a simple mobile port. Garena says the new game will have its own story elements and an interconnected world where players can explore with Pals, form groups, build shared settlements, take on cooperative encounters and compete with other players.
What Garena says will change for mobile
According to Garena, Palworld Online is being designed around touch controls and optional one-tap actions for tasks such as building, relocating and managing Pals. It also plans a shared home-base loop in which players can craft, expand structures and put Pals to work while building a social hub with friends.
Those are ambitious promises, but they are still plans from a game in development. Garena has not shown a final public release build, confirmed device requirements or detailed how progression, monetisation and regional availability will work. Those questions will matter as the project moves closer to launch.
Why this announcement stands out
The original Palworld established a large audience around open-world survival and creature collecting. Garena’s involvement signals an effort to turn that foundation into a persistent mobile MMO rather than simply move the existing PC game onto a smaller screen. Pocketpair CEO Takuro Mizobe said the companies are working together on the licensed development of the new experience.
For now, the confirmed facts are the license, Garena’s role as developer and publisher, the mobile MMO direction, and a 2026 release window. Everything else—including the eventual release schedule—remains to be announced.
